About Us
VIKTR MARTIN is an independent, LGBTQ+-owned clothing and accessories label founded by Salvadoran-American designer Victor Martinez. Based in Los Angeles, the label brings together custom design, considered construction, and a hands-on approach to making.
The designer
Victor began designing and making clothing in 2009 and opened his atelier in 2011. His studies at Academy of Art University, El Camino College, and Los Angeles Trade-Technical College shaped a practice spanning fashion illustration, collection development, sewing, sample making, patternmaking, jewelry, and menswear.
That foundation continues to inform VIKTR MARTIN: clothing and accessories made with attention to proportion, detail, and the way a piece is worn.
The craft
Garments and accessories are handcrafted in Downtown Los Angeles. Trims are sourced from local suppliers, and fabric selection includes remnant rolls, deadstock, and raw selvedge denim.
Our denim sourcing has included mills in Japan, Italy, and Turkey, alongside White Oak Cone Mills deadstock. Each product page identifies the materials used in that piece.
Vintage Union Special machines and contemporary Juki equipment are part of the making process, bringing traditional construction techniques into a working Los Angeles atelier.
Made with intention
Working with existing fabrics gives overlooked materials another use. Limited runs and custom pieces allow the design to respond to the fabric, with attention to the details that make each garment distinct.
